Pervasive Status 30 Error Message

Status 30 indicates an invalid database file

  • Status 30 is an error that says the database file it is trying to read does not look like a database file.
    • This happens if:
      • The file is corrupted or invalid
      • Has been observed when large files are repaired using a newer database engine for use on a lower database version.
  • Potential Causes:
    • Database file created by a newer version of Actian Pervasive.
    • File corruption on server
  • Solution Options
    • Restore from working backup
    • Update to new version of Pervasive SQL or Actian Zen
    • Restore from backup and perform repair operations on the customer database engine version
Actian Zen 14 and Zen 15 support version 13 file format. We have seen this error in Zen 14 SP1,SP2 and Zen 15 (No service pack) when a 13 file format is created with a Zen 15 SP1 or SP2 database engine.
