===== Thermal Printers =====

   *  Parallel Port Thermal Printers \\ \\

- Connect the **parallel cable** from the printers **parallel port** to the computers **parallel port**.

- Turn the printer on. If it does not turn on, verify the power cord has been plugged in.

- In **Windows**, navigate to **Start** > **Control Panel** > **Printers and Faxes**, and click on **Add Printer**.

- Select **Local printer attached to this computer**. Uncheck **Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer**, and click **next**.

- Under **use the following port**, select **LPT1: Recommended Printer Port** and click *next.

- You will be presented with a manufacturer driver list. Under the **manufacturer** tab select **Generic**. Once selected Generic, select **Generic / Text Only** and click **next**.

- Rename the printer what you want to name it to, and click **next**.

- Click **Finish** and now you have successfully added a Parallel Thermal Printer!
