Windward Payroll tax update July 1, 2012 for Canada.
View this tutorial for a demonstration of how to obtain and apply the tax rate changes to Windward Payroll. Changes are as issued by Revenue Canada and are effective July 1, 2012.
This update should be applied prior to any pay run processed after July 1, 2012.

INSTRUCTIONS (AS DEMONSTRATED IN TUTORIAL)
1. Payroll rate changes effective July 1, 2012 are now available for download using the System Five FTP update option from within System Five;
2. Once the update has been applied to System Five, launch Windward Payroll to update the Payroll tables to a minimum Version 1.0.0.63. A prompt will appear upon login to the program to update the payroll tables.

NOVA SCOTIA
• Spouse or common-law partner amount and amount for an eligible dependent will be increased from $7,201 to $8,481.
NOTE: You need to modify the Provincial TD1 field against any employee's who are claiming a spousal amount to reflect the revised amount. This change is made from the employee File>Employment Details window.
ONTARIO
• Taxable income that is more than $500,000 will be taxed at a rate of 13.16%.
