Signature Capture

Signature capture lets you capture the signature for credit card slips as well as for accounts receivable transactions. Print the signature on receipts as well as on statements.

There are a number of signature Capture PIN Pads available for use with US Payment Processors. Certified USA EMV PINPads

Setup instructions for a Topaz Model T-L460-HSB-R.

  1. Download the latest topaz drivers and install: http://www.topazsystems.com/Software/sigplus.exe
  2. Be sure to consult the model number on the back of the unit to select the correct “Choose the tablet” and “Select the connection type” questions during installation.
  3. Plug in device. You can test if the signature capture is working by using “DemoOCX” program. This is normally installed on the desktop.
Signatures captured for credit cards currently DO NOT PRINT on slip receipts. These can only print on a full-size invoice from a laser printer.

Setup in Windward System Five

  1. In the “Setup Wizard” under “Point of Sale Devices”.
  2. Choose the “Signature Capture Device” you are using and any options you may want to select. Review the help document on “Signature Capture setup” for more information about the options.
  3. In the “Invoice Setup” drag the “Signature Capture” item found on the “Printers” tab into the tree along with a printer underneath it. Find a sample of this in the documentation.

Common printing options to configure

  1. Invoice receipt form to print signature. In the invoice total, drag the “Signature Capture” field found in “Credit Card” onto the invoice layout.
  2. Configure statement form to print the signature column. In the Items selecting from the list of available, drag the “Invoice Signature” column into the columns column and adjust print order as required. Also common to un-check “Print Grid Lines”. Note: The signatures will NOT display on invoices that are printed as part of the statements. This is a known limitation. Instead, use the “Invoice Signature” column as indicated above.

Setup Instructions for the Ingenico 6550 / 6780

The ingenico 6550 or 6780 is a PINpad, MSR, display and signature capture pad.
The following models have been currently tested with System Five. Other configurations should work. Only the COM (serial) configuration has been found to work with terminal services.

:!:When purchasing the i6550, you must specify that you require the OPOS/UPOS version 2.91 configuration.
:!:You must also have them encrypted for your credit card processor network.

Setup Instructions for the ingenico en-Touch 1000

The ingenico en-Touch 1000 is a PINpad, MSR, display and signature capture pad.
This device is no longer available. It has been replaced by ingenico 6550.

To setup the en-Touch 1000, you need to download the following file from Windward's FTP site
ftp://ftp.windward-ca.com/pub/special/entouch1000.zip

This is an advanced setup and you will require about 1 hour or more.

Notes:
